How to Apply

36th cycle a.y. 2020/21 -



Admission to the PhD programme is governed by a competition that allocates scholarships on the basis of comparative merit and an oral interview by videoconference. Comparative assessment is made by the Boards of Examiners. After the selection process has been completed, the Board of Examiners draws up a merit list. Scholarships are allocated according to the ranking established in the merit list.

Applicants may be of any age or citizenship, but must have a 2nd cycle degree or an equivalent qualification of at least four years' duration (Degree awarded within 30th September 2020).

The 4-years grant has the annual rate of 15,343 €.

Admission is regulated through a call:

  • Undergraduate and/or master final mark
  • Master Dissertation + Abstract (Abstract only, for candidates who will obtain the degree within 30th September). Template for Abstract of master Dissertation here NEW  (to be filled either in English or in Italian)

  • List of Scientific publications (if available)
  • List of examinations successfully passed and marks obtained

International candidates awarded a scholarship by an international scientific committee (e.g., Marie Curie or Erasmus Mundus scholarship) can be admitted extra quota, if the Teaching Board accept the Research Project.
